Key20 Philosophy
The Key 20 Basketball Camp is a high-impact intervention designed to provide 25 marginalized Toronto youth with elite athletic training and life-skills mentorship. By focusing on a small, consistent cohort over three years, we aim to bridge the gap in access to premium sports programming, using basketball as a hook for community engagement and personal development.

Mission
From Lockdown to Legacy

The Key 20 Basketball program was born out of necessity during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns. Observing the devastating impact of isolation and physical inactivity on Toronto's youth—particularly in marginalized communities—our coaches launched this initiative to get children moving again.
What began as a grassroots effort to restore physical health and social connection has evolved into a sophisticated skills camp. For the past two years, we have operated without formal grant support, fueled by a commitment to ensure that financial barriers never prevent a child from receiving elite-level instruction and mentorship.

Vision
The "Key 20" philosophy focuses on the 20 fundamental keys of basketball—ranging from technical ball-handling and shooting mechanics to skills like leadership and court vision. This isn't just a summer activity; it’s a multi-year development pipeline designed to track and improve player performance over summers.
This program will recruit 25 high-potential youth from Toronto’s Neighborhood Improvement Areas (NIAs). By providing mentorship support and high-level coaching, we offer a "pro-am" experience to athletes who typically lack access to elite summer circuits.
